Every euro, explained.
Bring every transaction into one place, categorize it, connect it to the record behind it and reconcile it while the context is still fresh.
Bank feeds are read-only, and a transaction can stay tied to the invoice, project or document it belongs to.
What was that €59 in March?
A bank statement gives you an amount, a date and a description. It does not tell you why the money moved, which project it belonged to or whether the record is complete.
Worklyn keeps that context with the transaction as it happens, so reviewing the books later does not mean reconstructing the year from memory.
From money movement to reconciled record.
Transactions from connected bank accounts, cards and imports land in one place. Search, filter and review money moving in and out of the business without jumping between accounts.
Connect accounts through Plaid in the United States and Canada, or Enable Banking across 31 countries in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Bank sync · Manual entries · CSV import · Search · Filters · Bulk actions
Create rules for recurring transaction patterns and let Worklyn apply the right category and tags when the same type of transaction appears again.
A rule matches on the name or description, the merchant, the amount, the direction or the account, and it can set the category, add tags or exclude the transaction. It runs on every bank sync and every CSV import, and you can sweep it back over transactions you already have.
VAT rate, billable, client and project live on the transaction itself. A rule never touches them.
Transaction rules are on paid plans.
Match incoming payments to the invoices they paid, and connect outgoing transactions to the receipt or document behind them.
A found receipt sits on the transaction as a suggestion. It is attached when you say so.
Need to collect the receipt first? See how the inbox worksA match says which records belong together. Confirming it completes the financial record, so the invoice is marked paid or the cost is filed with its document.
Worklyn finds the match and waits for one click. Nothing is linked behind your back.
For money in, Reconciled means a deposit confirmed against an invoice.
Review what needs attention.
You should not have to open every transaction to find the few that are incomplete. The review tab collects the transactions still missing a receipt so you can clear them in one pass.
Everything else narrows from one filter menu.
Every transaction knows which project it belongs to.
A bank feed can tell you that €392 left the account. Worklyn can also know that it was a cost of the Acme brand project.
Attach a cost to a project and it lands in that project's real margin, without being entered again somewhere else.
CFO Mode watches the ledger with you.
Because the ledger is already connected to the rest of the business, CFO Mode can point out changes that are easy to miss.

Reconciliation is where pre-accounting starts to come together.
Once transactions are categorized, matched and reviewed, Worklyn can use those records as part of the accounting-ready picture.
Export as CSV or Excel, bundle the receipts, email your accountant a download link, or post entries straight to Xero or QuickBooks.
Explore pre-accountingRead-only means read-only.
Bank connections run through Plaid and Enable Banking. Worklyn asks for the permission to read balances and transactions and nothing more. There is no payment permission in the connection at all.
You can also use transactions without connecting a bank by entering records manually. Bank connections and CSV import are on paid plans.
Import your account balances and the transactions on them, on a schedule or on demand.
Initiate a transfer, a withdrawal or a payment from your bank account. That access is never requested.
A transaction is not an isolated bank line.
Transactions questions, answered.
No. Bank connections are read-only. Worklyn can import balances and transactions but cannot make payments, transfers or withdrawals.
Worklyn connects banks in the United States and Canada through Plaid, and banks across 31 countries in the United Kingdom and Europe through Enable Banking. Availability depends on the bank and the country.
Matching connects records that belong together, such as an invoice and an incoming payment. Reconciliation is the review that confirms the match and completes the financial record.
Worklyn suggests likely matches between incoming transactions and open invoices, and finds the receipt that belongs to a cost. You confirm before anything is linked, because confirming a payment marks the invoice paid.
The transaction stays visible for review. You can match it by hand, add the missing record or leave it open until more information arrives.
Yes. Attach a cost to a project and it counts towards that project's costs and margin without being entered again elsewhere.
Yes. You can enter transactions manually on any plan. Bank connections and CSV statement import are on paid plans.
