Midday has shut down. Your data still has a home.
Midday shut down on August 7, 2026, after joining Ramp. If you still have your export zip or API token, bring your clients, invoices, transactions, tracked time, and documents into Worklyn in about ten minutes.
Your whole history, not a blank screen.
The hardest part of switching tools is the history stuck inside the old one. Here's what makes the move.
Clients
Contacts, billing details, and notes, carried over as-is.
Invoices
Line items, client, and paid/unpaid status stay intact.
Transactions
Categories, amounts, and matched receipts come across together.
Tracked time
Logged entries land against the right client, ready to bill.
Documents
Receipts, contracts, and files, tied back to the client they belong to.
Settings
The account details Worklyn needs to pick up where Midday left off.
Pick whichever is easier for you.
Have your export zip? Upload it.
If you already exported your Midday data as a zip, drop it into Worklyn's Settings → Import. One file, one pass.
Have a working API token? Connect it.
If your api.midday.ai token still works, paste it in and Worklyn pulls everything for you directly. No download, no re-upload.
Imports never touch your Midday originals, and everything you bring in stays yours to export again.
The honest questions about switching.
Clients, invoices, transactions, tracked time, and documents map to their Worklyn equivalents, keeping their status, categories, and client links intact. An invoice keeps its line items and paid/unpaid state; a transaction keeps its category and any matched receipt. Anything Midday stored as a free-form note comes across as-is, in the closest matching field.
Anything specific to Midday's own interface, like saved view layouts or dashboard widget positions, doesn't carry over, because Worklyn's screens are laid out differently. Everything that represents your actual business data, clients, invoices, transactions, tracked time, and documents, does.
The import itself runs in a few minutes once you upload the zip or connect your token. Most of the ten-minute estimate is the setup around it, creating your Worklyn account and picking a plan, not the transfer itself. You don't need to babysit it: start it, and your data is there by the time you're done with the rest.
Yes. Whether you upload the export zip or connect with your API token, the transfer is encrypted end to end. Worklyn only reads your Midday data during that one-time import; it isn't stored anywhere beyond your new Worklyn account, and you can remove the API token connection once the import finishes.
No, Midday has shut down, so there's no account left to keep active. What matters now is whether you kept your export zip or your api.midday.ai token before it closed. If you have either one, the import into Worklyn works exactly the same way it always did.
